De-Sludging (emptying)

We have put together a list of licensed de-sludging companies throughout Ireland. These companies specialise in environmental and drainage solutions such as safely emptying and disposing of waste from domestic and commercial septic tanks, cesspools, grease separators, pump stations, and packaged secondary wastewater treatment systems (also known as sewage treatment plants).

Your on-site wastewater treatment system will need to be de-sludged at regular intervals. This will depend on the type of on-site wastewater treatment system you have installed as well as the hydraulic and or organic loading/capacity. As a rule of thumb, we recommend that most of our customers will need to de-sludge their on-site wastewater treatment system every 12-18 months.

Please note commercial on-site wastewater treatment systems usually require more frequent de-sludging intervals, we recommend you refer to the manufacturer’s guidelines and or planning application/discharge licence registered with the relevant local authority.
